History
K&B was founded in 1984 with a practice concentrated in real estate matters, commercial transactions, contract negotiations, civil litigation and administrative law. We represented clients in the full range of landlord-tenant relations, including the drafting of agreements and the litigation of disputes in civil courts and administrative proceedings, including DHCR, HPD, MCI, ECB, DOH and DEP matters. Those practice areas continue to be a major focus of this firm.
However, during the intervening decades, the firm has experienced significant growth, and the practice areas of K&B's highly skilled attorneys have expanded to include, in addition to real estate law, civil litigation and administrative law: corporate law, partnership law, limited liability company law, trade secrets and proprietary business models, intellectual property (including transactions and disputes concerning works of art and other creative works), art insurance, zoning law and land use law, construction law, Qui Tam federal civil actions (False Claims Act), debtor/creditor law, employment law, employee benefits law, ERISA, federal Portability Act, real estate tax valuation disputes and tax certiorari proceedings, consumer rights, elder law, entertainment law, complex civil actions and multi-jurisdictional disputes.
We continue to serve our clients with a unique combination of hard work, dedication and trust that has been our hallmark.
